👨‍👧‍👦💙Father’s Day is a special day to celebrate our amazing dads. 👨‍👧‍👦💙

It’s a day to show gratitude and love to those who have supported, taught, and inspired us throughout our lives 🛠️📚. Whether it’s morning coffee with dad ☕️, a nature hike together 🚶‍♂️, or simply a warm hug 🤗 – it’s the perfect time for these moments.

Give him something special and fill the day with joy and memorable moments ⭐️💫!

The history of Father’s Day goes back over a century! While Mother’s Day is a well-known tradition, Father’s Day only began in the early 20th century. It was first celebrated in 1908 in the United States when a community wished to honor men who had perished in a mining accident, leaving behind families they had provided for 🏞️.

However, Sonora Smart Dodd, a woman from Washington state, is considered the initiator of Father’s Day. She was inspired by her father, William Smart, who raised Sonora and her five siblings alone after her mother’s death. 👨‍👧‍👦💙

Thanks to Sonora’s efforts, the first official Father’s Day celebration took place in 1910. Initially, Father’s Day wasn’t very popular, and gaining recognition took time. In 1972, it was declared an official national holiday in the United States, and today, many countries around the world celebrate Father’s Day 🌎🎉.

In Estonia, we began celebrating Father’s Day in the 1980s, and now we observe it on the second Sunday in November – a perfect time to give dad something special, show him our appreciation, and spend time together, reminding him how important he is to us! 🥂✨
